Pacific Coast from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

We were in our first Christmas Holidays in the States. It was quite a distance from San Antonio to California, but we wanted to spend some days, and our New Year Eve to be in Disney. But obviously we had many more things to do, to visit…. And one of them was to drive through State Route 1, similar to the Panoramic 101, but the SR 1 follows the Pacific Coast line between San Francisco and Los Angeles most of the time. It´s 656 miles in total and we traveled about 400 miles. We drove the I-5 S to San Francisco and on Dec 27th we went back to Los Angeles on the SR 1.
The day started a little bit windy and cloudy, we left San José early in the morning. After Monterrey the road is always by the coast, cliffs most of the time. The views from the road in every turn were awesome. The bad was that I wanted to stop to take pics, every a few minutes. Sometimes even from the car. Yes, I know, but don´t worry, Carolina was driving, and so, I had my camera always ready.
We were lucky enough to see whales while they taking a break for breathing. The day went from cloudy to sunny at moments. We crossed the Bixby Creek Bridge, and finally with almost no time, at sunset we enjoyed the last light of the day observing a colony of sea lions, and seals on the beach, in a point which belongs to Piedras Blancas State Marine Reserve. It was not far from Hearst Castle, but no time to visit it. We had neither time nor light for more pics and a lot of miles in front of us to Los Angeles.
